The 2nd day of the WCDRR provided more events and occasions to discuss DRR issues. There are a massive amount of events, side-events, high level events, working groups, bi-lateral talks, "only invited" talks and so on. But in most events, it is much more about sending out messages to the audience. Real encounter, listening and dialog is seldom. And often critical questions seem to be postponed to the next conference in the full calendar of 2015. Sometimes the impression is that there is more information on what should not be discussed here in Sendai, but at the next conference; especially all around the very important questions about financing DRR. This seems to become the hot topic of this event and avoided by the Western Governments, who like to discuss this only in the Addis conference about “financing sustainable development”. In my point of view, a missed opportunity!
