A 'Talk - Shop' where relevant disaster management agencies in the country shared their work and what they can do together to reduce disaster risks, build resilient communities and reduce mortality associated with disaster events.

CDRCR commemorated in Nigeria the IDDR on the 13 October. In collaboration with the Department of Local Government and Development Studies, The Polytechnic, Ibadan Nigeria and Centre for Disaster Risk and Crisis Reduction organised a 'Talk - Shop' where relevant disaster management agencies in the country shared their work and what they can do together to reduce disaster risks, build resilient communities and reduce mortality associated with disaster events.

The collaboration was initiated by the Centre for Disaster Risk and Crisis Reduction (CDRCR), who is currently GNDR's Frontline National Coordinating Organisation in Nigeria. This event took place after the National Consultative meeting held recently to share the Frontline Report in Nigeria. The event was used to inaugurate the First Sustainable Development Club in tertiary Institutions in Nigeria and also the unveiling of the Sustainable Development Goals. Both government and non governmental agencies were present at the occasion held at the Resource Centre, Department of Local Government and Development Studies.
