Executive Director of Africa on the Move (AFRiMOVE) Allan Musinguzi tells us about his ambitions for his organization and his expectations on being a GNDR member in this interview.

It is necessary to move from managing disaster to managing disaster risk. Prevention of disaster must be the priority now and going forward. This was one of the main messages coming out of the European Forum on Disaster Risk Reduction 2018, that was celebrated by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction on 21-23 November in Rome, Italy.
Remoteness, lack of cellular network, no local doctor and no education after 6th grade - these factors are no hindrance for CBDRM to be effective in a local community, Samuel Peter from Habitat for Humanity India reports.
