South Asia Regional workshop: an event that facilitated collaboration & joint actions

Selected and sponsored GNDR members gathered in Kathmandu, Nepal during December 19th-21st. The regional workshop was hosted by the National Society for Earthquake Technologies (NSET) and Practical Action - GNDR National Focal Points for Nepal.

In order to facilitate learning, networking and capacity building among GNDR members, a regional workshop was organised in Kathmandu, Nepal during the third week of December 2017. Selected members from 6 South Asian Countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal), based on the merit of their application and pre-set selection criteria, were invited to attend this workshop. Among others, highlighted features of the workshop included a day long exposure visit to member’s work in the field and orientation to the National Advocacy Toolkit – a GNDR compilation of different tools and techniques that can be used for selecting and pursuing advocacy asks at different levels.
