GNDR to co-create new programme

GNDR, as a part of a consortium of eight other organisations, has been given the mandate to co-create a pioneering new programme to help civil society better understand the concerns of the most marginalised in three key countries.

The consortium, consisting of organisations from both the private and the public sector and funded by DFID through their UKAid Connect stream, will help civil society to better access and use data about the concerns of marginalised groups in Nigeria, Myanmar and Zimbabwe. In particular, the project will be collecting concerns around the provision of health services in their communities.

GNDR will be getting input from its members on data needs and availability so as to inform the design of a data platform, and will also be feeding data from our Views from the Frontline 2019 project into the platform.

GNDR will also connect its members in the three respective countries into capacity building activities around the use of the data for local resilience projects - particularly around health - and advocate to local government networks, UN, donors and members to actively use the local data.

Christian Aid is leading the project consortium, which comprises the following member organisations: FEMNET (The African Women’s Development and Communication Network); GNDR; International HIV/AIDS Alliance; Ipsos MORI; Maxwell Stamp; On Our Radar; Social Development Direct; The Open University; and Womankind.

Please find here the press release issued by Christian Aid on the project.
