Overview
GNDR is a member-led global network of civil society organisations for disaster reduction with more than 1500 members across 129 countries, with a vision to prevent hazards from turning into disasters, and reducing the impacts of the communities most at-risk on their lives and livelihoods.
GNDR is currently implementing the USAID-BHA funded program “Locally-led humanitarian solutions: Building resilience in fragile contexts affected by climate change”. The aim of the project is to achieve – Community resilience to natural disasters in the fragile contexts affected by climate change impact.
The project will be implemented in 11 fragile countries impacted by climate change across Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. One of the key activities under the project is to collect the perspectives of at-risk communities in the conflict affected areas , impacted by climate change through a survey. 16 communities will be selected per country under the project to participate and it is expected that approximately 610 people will participate in these surveys in each of the 16 communities i.e. at least 107,360 individuals will provide their response and contribute to this survey.
