Asma is GNDR’s Fundraising and Partnerships Manager, bringing over 15 years of cross-sectoral experience in programme development, grants management, and strategic partnerships across humanitarian and development contexts. She holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences, along with postgraduate degrees in Public Administration and International Relations, providing a strong interdisciplinary foundation in global governance and sustainable development. Her expertise spans disaster risk reduction, climate justice, early warning systems, and civic space, with a focus on inclusive, locally led programming in fragile and conflict-affected settings. Asma has worked extensively with the UN, governments, and civil society actors and has contributed to global policy dialogue on climate resilience, safeguarding, and inclusion across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. She is passionate about advancing equitable, community-driven solutions and securing sustainable funding that centres the voices and leadership of those most at risk.
