Theory of change

This 4 part video series gives participants an overview of how to develop a theory of change.

The first video starts with a general idea of the topic, its purpose and what it should include.

The fundamentals

In the second video participants will learn the 5 key elements of a theory of change, assumptions and mechanisms and how those elements interact to form a theory of change.

The third video shows the key differences and complementarities between the logical framework and a theory of change.

In the final video of series participants will learn how to develop a theory of change by following six steps: situation analysis, focusing and scoping, developing and validating an outcome chain, assumptions and mechanism, representing the theory of change and using and updating the theory of change

This series was delivered by the Institute of Studies on Conflicts and Humanitarian Action as part of GNDR Local Leadership Academy
