Governance manual
Our governance manual explains the main duties and responsibilities of the global board, as delegated by the board of trustees.
The manual sets out our governance framework, including the individual and collective roles and responsibilities of board members, trustees, secretariat staff and regional advisory groups.
Also included is guidance on the functioning of the trustees and global board. This includes the election of board members, board processes, and the activities of various working groups.
The manual is available in three language versions:
Global board meetings
The global board meets four times per year to discuss strategic issues and to make decisions with regard to governance, strategy and annual plans.
Trustees are primarily responsible for approving organisational policies, finance, and staff security and wellbeing.
The minutes of global board meetings are openly accessible for download. Meeting minutes are available in English, French and Spanish languages. On our website we provide meeting minutes for the last three financial years. If you would like to access older meeting minutes please contact us.
